Our single estate (SE) Finca Dulce Leonarda has been one of our best selling coffees since back in 2009. It’s a balanced, clean cup with a great body that excels either as a pour over or a single origin espresso shot. A fantastic aroma, and notes of tobacco with a caramel sweetness blend with its lemony accents, leading to a pleasant, light finish.
The Gustavo Mauricio Tello family estate is located in La Libertad region of Huehuetenango, near the small village of La Mesilla. Finca Dulce Leonarda rests at an elevation of 1500 - 1650m (5,000 - 5,400 ft) making it a certified SHB (Strictly Hard Bean) grade Guatemalan coffee.
Production of this 100% shade grown coffee from the family’s 590 acre farm is limited to just 1,000 bags per year. Bourbon, Catuai and Caturra specialty grade arabica varietals (or cultivars) are wet milled on site at the farm, and dry milled in nearby Esquintla by the exporter.
